Eurovision song contest...
Yes.... unfortunately it's that time of the year again! I know... it's an awful show... but you have to admit that you just can't get enough of Terry Wogan's sarcasm... his comments are the only things that keep you going through these three agonising hours.... okay... maybe I lied... coz what really makes it worthwhile watching it is that you can get a good laugh out of it
For example:
Sorry can't find any good photos of these countrie's performances.....
Lithuania's we are the winners was truely shocking.... well.... I really thought they were taking the mickey - first line of the song was 'We are the win-ners~~ of eu-ro-vi-sion~~~' They looked like old pervs...
In Malta, they had an Andy Lau look alike singing 'I do~ I do~ I do~~~~ I do~ I do~ I love you like a fool.....' shame he only had 1 point at the end....
Romania's guy had this catchiest tune ever 'Tor-ne-ro~~~ Tor-ne-ro~~~~~' and wow... he can sing high man...(even he had clothes that were too big, dyed hair as well as receding hairline....)
Croatia's girl got great legs... but lipliners must be cheap there.....(if you imagine lips like blown up dolls' lips...)
Some countries that I was able to find some good pics were: (from esctoday.com)
FYR Macedonia has gone overboard with the whole beyonce theme... even had the 'o-oh o-oh o-oh' at the beginning just like crazy in love and the whole body shaking at the end!

Sexy Andre from Armenia has, described by Terry Wogan, 'taken suspenders into a whole new level'

UK's entry... well.... I don't really know what to say...school girls (they're just damn scary)...and er... teenage life... and rap.... shall I say it just wasn't my kind of music....but we got 25 points!! (Finland (the team who won) on the other hand, had 292 points)

Our common room loved Russia's performance the best. Never let you go performed by Dima Bilan.....To start off with, he (with an amazing mullet) was gyrating in the middle of the stage singing 'never never let you go~~~~' with 2 ballet dancers and a white grand piano in the background.

Then half way through the song, he walked onto the grand piano, and suddenly this person emerged through some rose petals from the inside of the piano!!

Interesting how these underground rock monsters (I don't want to put their photos on my blog because they are ugly and scary - you are welcome to go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/eurovision/2006/index.shtml to see their photos tho) from Finland won this year's eurovision. I really wanted Dima to win!!
Oh well, only 1 more year till the next one in Helsinki eh!!
